All photographers, from the fledgling amateur to the seasoned pro, are invited to submit entries in the “Bring Your Creativity to Life!” photo contest for Maui images through Friday. Entrants then gain a chance to win a hand-painted version of the personal moment they captured on film or digitally.
The photo contest by Maui painter Diane Appler is open to anyone, whether living on-island, staying here currently, or visitors from the past who just love the beauty and scenery of the Valley Isle.
Each person can submit up to 3 photos, and there is no obligation for the photographers.
Entries are due by midnight Friday, April 30, and can be submitted by visiting here.
Past entries to the same contest are welcome. In May, Appler will distribute a “cast your vote” newsletter, and anyone subscribing can vote for the top pick. Click here to subscribe and receive timely updates on things happening with the arts and other endeavors all around the island.
In June, the winner will be announced and Appler will begin painting a version of the top vote-getting image. The winning photographer will receive a complimentary giclee print on watercolor paper, along with the option to purchase the original painting at half price.
