Join Southwest Airlines and the Love the Sea nonprofit organization starting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at Kahului Harbor. Visit at the end of N. Pu’unene Ave., past First Hawaiian Bank and right on the ocean.

Southwest Airlines is a sponsor of Volunteer Week Hawaii, which began April 18, across the state.

Volunteer Week Hawaii was launched in 2018 by the statewide grassroots organization Kahu Hawaii as its local take on National Volunteer Week (which has been celebrated annually since 1974). The week is an opportunity to encourage people to get engaged in their communities, and to recognize volunteers for their contributions throughout the year.

Love the Sea is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recovering ocean plastic and preventing further damage from ghost nets and other environmentally damaging plastic debris.
